Admissions Policy

Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students.  Our school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its education policies, or in any school-administered program.

It is the assumption of Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School that when a parent/guardian registers a student, this registration is an acknowledgement that the student and parent/guardian will abide by and cooperate with all school rules and regulations governing Academics, Discipline, Attendance, Activities, Athletics, and all other aspects of school life.

Universal Visitation Day (Thursday, November 20, 2008) - Students are strongly encouraged to attend our Eighth Grade Universal Visitation Day.  Held each year in November throughout the Archdiocese, the students spend a full day here at school and participate in classes, games, and are presented much entertainment by our band, orchestra, cheerleaders, and students.

Eighth Grade Scholarship/Placement Test - The Scholarship/Placement Test is offered on three scheduled Saturdays in the Fall (Dates for 2008: October 11th, October 25th, & November 15th).  Students may take the exam only once.  Any Scholarships awarded based on the student's performance are for all four years that the student attends Neumann-Goretti.  EVERY STUDENT APPLYING TO NEUMANN-GORETTI HIGH SCHOOL MUST TAKE THIS PLACEMENT TEST.  Scholarships will only be awarded to students who take the test on the three dates listed above.   You may download the Scholarship/Placement Test Registration Form here, complete it, and return including the $45 registration fee.

Shadow Days - Prospective students who cannot attend Visitation Day are welcome to spend a day 'shadowing' a current Neumann-Goretti student.  They will follow a full roster with our student, so that they may experience a typical day at our High School.  Eighth grade student Shadow Days begin in October.

Seventh Grade Students - Seventh grade prospective students may attend a Shadow Day at Neumann-Goretti beginning in March.  Also, the Seventh Grade Practice Scholarship/Placement Test is held each year in the Spring.
